Manage your shopping list - other members from your family can all contribute to the list - no more "where is the shopping list?" - if you dont' manage to buy everything on the list, you don't lose what you missed (like, when you throw away the shopping list) - PLANNING your meals can save you money: so you don't end up ordering pizza! - PLANNING your shopping can save you money: so you don't end up having to drive to the store multiple times! 2. Track and compare prices - shoptris.com is a WIKI where everyone can contribute information on prices in various stores. for example, the Ravenna Giant eagle might have Bushes Baked Beans for $1.75 but the Walmart might have it for $1.15 - by knowing where you can get the SAME THINGS at a better price, you can plan out your shopping trip - shoptris.com will actually show you the ROUTE you need to take, if you want to optimize your savings: First, go to Giant Eagle. Next, stop at Marcs, on the way to Walmart. - you can SAVE a lot on gas by doing ONE shopping trip, ONE time per week, and hit ALL the stores you need to go to on the most fuel effecient route 3. Track the aisles in your stores - this is key to GET IN and GET OUT of the store quickly. Remember, TIME is MONEY. - instead of wandering around the store randomly (like I used to do), go BAM BAM BAM hit each aisle in order and pick up what you what you need. - You'll end up spending less money because you'll spend less time wandering the store 4. Track the total amount you will be paying on checkout - how many times have you been overcharged or double charged when you check out of the store??? I remember one time, my wife bought a pack of 2 steaks, and they charged us for, like, 16 steaks! (She didn't notice, because the whole bill was so dang big, you sometimes just don't notice!). - with shopTris.com, you'll know the approximate amount you should be getting charged when you check out. So, while you are out shopping, you can use your smartphone to keep track of what you are buying. (You can use an IPAD too, but that one will pick up the bigger screens). When you are at home on the desktop, you can enjoy the bigger screens to manage your list and so on. shoptris.com also has REPORTS, so you can see how much you are spending and on WHAT, for groceries.
